Reading book three in the Game of Thrones series trying to keep up with the current episode and failing miserably. 2. Winding up the school year at both schools. 3. I am a firm believer in the school of thought that the book is always better than the movie. It is with this in mind that I have been awaiting The Great Gatsby with great trepidation. Gatsby is my favorite book period. To me it’s more than a great story about the disappointment one feels after getting exactly what he has wished for only to find out it’s tarnished and broken. Fitzgerald is a master wordsmith. His writing is beautiful…

I have had a friend or two ask why I post my daily outfit. I have two reasons. The first reason is purely selfish. By posting my daily wardrobe, I have a visual archive of past combinations and a record of what worked and what fell short. Time flies when you’re having fun is an often repeated adage, but does it really? In my experience, time flies no matter you mood or condition. It doesn’t seem possible that it’s almost Derby day. The winter passed quickly, and luckily for us, mildly. The days may have been gray and cold, but they were not snow-filled and icy. I have still making good on my efforts to try new things. If I summed up my fall break in one word it would be productive. I had lunch with friends, made a trip to Bloomington, worked on course materials and tried a new restaurant. great view and great conversation
Sometimes the stars just align. I planned dinner and wine with a friend. Then invited another friend neither of us had seen in awhile. He then, in turn, invited another friend. The conversation ranged from buying a car in Cleveland to the Presidential Debate drinking game to the plausibility of the first friend running for political office in the next few years. Whew. Good wine, good conversation, good evening.
