October….

“Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.”  Those words pretty much sum up my fall. October was filled with work, awards, football and music.

The highlight of the month was the Matt Nathanson concert. I hadn’t really heard much about the opening act Joshua Radin, but I really enjoyed him. I had heard a few of his songs, I just didn’t realize they were his songs. The show was at Headliners, a local music venue. It’s small and standing room only. The crowd was pretty restless when Radin was performing and they were borderline rude. I felt bad for him, he put on a good show. As much as I was looking forward to Matt Nathanson, I felt like he was a good start.

I had been looking forward to the show since July when I bought the tickets and Matt Nathanson did not disappoint. I was in the very front of the stage so I got a lot of great photos. I will most more later in a new gallery, but I did want to post one here. He played all of my old favorites (Wedding Dress, Come on Get Higher, and Car Crash) plus some of my favorites from his latest CD (Mission Bells and Kill The Lights). At every show this tour, he took a selfie with the crowd in the background and I am in the Louisville selfie!

A little dark and a lot confusing
I’m the last of the worst pretenders
So lost, so lost in love”
