November…the month we traditionally give thanks for all of the good things in our lives was a busy one. Last year, I was one of those people who made the daily facebook post detailing what I was thankful for on each particular day. Instead of rehasing each day, I am going to choose two highlight two things for which I am thankful.

The first being my family. I am one of the lucky ones who has a family with with which to spend my holidays. The weekend after Thanksgiving was the Indiana-Purdue football game. I went to the game with my Dad and two of my cousins. One of the photos from the game will represent my family.

Thankful for a Hoosier victory!

I am also thankful for friends, old and new. This fall I was truly blessed by the generosity of a new friend. I have a small collection of badges from my sorority. When an older badge catches my eye, I try to purchase it if I can. In my collection, I was missing a plain badge with the scroll edges much to the dismay of my aforementioned friend. Mid-November I received an email letting me know that a scroll badge would soon be arriving in my mailbox. I eagerly awaited the package and it did not disappoint in the least. The badge is from 1948 and belonged to one of the chapter’s founders so it has special meaning behind it. I am truly thankful for the thoughtfulness. Here I share a photo of the badge, which doesn’t do it justice.
