Sometimes when shooting, I am lost in the moment. I don’t check the back of the camera to see how the shots look. Yesterday was one of those moments. I was trying to so hard to be in the moment and listen to the singer, an uber talented student of mine, yet I was trying to capture good images. After graduation, I went to my classroom to start downloading images and found these two shots that I love.

I love this one because of the composition. He’s framed by the piano, the depth of field is shallow and his reflection is on the lid of the piano.

I love this one because it captures a moment…a moment that will never happen again.
